About Hong Kong Open Music Competition

 

Founded in 2018, The Hong Kong Open Music Competition (HKOMC) is dedicated to provide one of the best performance stage in Asia for promising talents across the globe to achieve their highest musical excellence.

 

With the unceasing support from Mrs Lamae Loo, the President & Co-founder of The United States Open Music Competition (USOMC), HKOMC has adopted the best of the USOMC’s 26 years of world class competitions. The HKOMC will debut with 21 events of different categories, ranging from graded piano exam repertoires, treasury of classical, romantic and Chinese composers, duets and sight-reading events, showcasing timeless masterpieces, fostering a strong sense of musical appreciation and cultural exchange to the present and future generations.

 

The HKOMC Jury is composed of the most acclaimed piano pedagogues, concert artists, examiners, conductors as well as arts management partners from all over the world. Winners from each category will receive medals and certificates culminating with special Prize Winners’ Concert, featuring the first place winners of each event. These winners will also have the opportunity to compete for the Outstanding Gold Medalists Crystal Awards at the Concert.
